Now matter how hard we try to encourage our kids to pick up after themselves and keep their rooms neat and tidy they very rarely do. Often it is down to mums to give their rooms a through scuff out and re-organise, here are some tips to help you in the battle for tidiness in your kid’s room.
Having two hampers or a two-compartment hamper in your child’s bedroom can make things easier you when it comes to washing, teach your child to sort the light coloured clothes from the dark and drop them in the respective hamper when they undress.
If your child has a love of books then buy or build a bookcase so your child has somewhere to store them.
Hanging a fishing net or tube net from the ceiling will give your child somewhere to keep stuffed toys, action figures or dolls and teach your child to put toys back into it when they have finished playing with them.
If your child has a love of painting and drawing then string a clothesline up from wall to wall and encourage them to pin artwork to it, another good idea is to place corkboards on the walls.
If you have, a boy then make putting laundry in the baskets fun by placing a basketball hoop over the hamper; it can work for girls too but make it into netball net.

What makes me busy right now is the overall construction and decoration of my son's room. I really enjoy it and badly missed my childhood life.
